A normal vaginal delivery is the birth of a baby through the vagina. At Parency IVF, our maternity team supports women through labour with close monitoring, compassionate care, and timely medical decision-making.
Before Labour
During antenatal visits, we discuss your medical history, birth preferences, signs of labour, hospital admission, pain-relief options, and any factors that could affect the delivery plan.
During Labour
The mother’s labour progress and the baby’s wellbeing are monitored throughout. The team provides emotional support, guidance on movement and breathing where appropriate, and pain-relief options based on individual needs and clinical suitability.
When Plans Need to Change
While vaginal birth may be planned, some situations require assisted delivery or a caesarean birth for the safety of the mother or baby. The treating obstetrician explains the reason for any recommended change and supports informed decision-making wherever possible.
After Delivery
Care includes mother-baby bonding, breastfeeding support, newborn evaluation, and postnatal recovery guidance.
Normal activities can typically be resumed immediately, with light spotting or cramping possible and specific post-procedure care instructions provided.
