Why CASA May Be Recommended

CASA may be useful when a detailed analysis of sperm movement is required, when standard semen testing needs clarification, or while monitoring selected fertility treatments. It complements—rather than replaces—clinical assessment and standard laboratory evaluation.

What Happens During Testing?

The patient provides a semen sample according to laboratory instructions. The sample is analysed by trained professionals using standard protocols and computer-assisted measurement. The report is then reviewed by a fertility specialist in the context of the patient’s health history and other investigations.

Understanding Your Result

A single semen result may vary over time and does not alone determine the possibility of pregnancy. Your doctor may recommend a repeat test, medical treatment, lifestyle changes, IUI, IVF, or ICSI depending on the complete assessment.
